We had a great time learning massage last Saturday! Take a look at a couple shots I was able to snag while they were hard at work.
I really enjoyed having the calm and quiet space of the massage studio, so in the future I’m going to offer this class to four people at a time and there will be plenty of one-on-one attention. And, based on feedback that the three hour time frame felt a little daunting (trust me, there is plenty to do and see in three hours but I want to allay hesitation and fit better into schedules), the class is now two hours and will focus on neck/shoulders as well as the back. I’ve added several class dates which include Thursdays – take a look! I’m excited to share with you.
Hello everyone! We have two new dates scheduled for the Massage for Loved Ones course. Haven’t heard about this course yet? Allow us.
Our first class, Massage for Loved Ones, offers a bird’s eye view of basic massage techniques. This course is designed to combat the increasingly stressful environment we live in and encourage touch as a way to connect, relieve stress, and even come to know ourselves and one another better. Unless specified, this class is designed so you can bring a friend, coworker, parent, or partner and is geared toward all levels of skill and knowledge. Class sizes are very small (2-4 pairs) to ensure individual attention. During the course you will receive a small bottle of high quality massage oil and you will have the option to add essential oils (including consultation on ideal oils for your particular needs), and will learn how to perform basic massage techniques with equipment you have at home. This course will show you clothed massage, as this will be the most accessible method. *The techniques learned in this course are not designed to replace professional massage services, but instead to help provide emotional relief and moderate tension relief. You or your loved one should seek professional massage care for any concerns beyond this. *
The course is priced at $100 for 3 hours of instruction for two people. Email firstname.lastname@example.org to reserve your place. While this course is priced for and ideally designed for doubles registration, if you would like to take this class as an individual, let Heather know. Can’t wait to see you there!
Saturday, May 19, 6:00-9:00 PM
Saturday, June 16, 6:00-9:00 PM
Elevate is now offering classes in massage! As a Licensed Massage Therapist, I’ve heard it countless times: “my husband works on my neck for five minutes and his thumbs are tired!” “My girlfriend is afraid to apply any pressure on my back, she’s afraid she’ll hurt me…” “I wish I had a better method of self care between my appointments, all I do is stretch but it feels like it makes it worse.” I will be offering classes to address each of these concerns, and with each class you will take away knowledge and capacity for wisdom about the body that will impact your daily relationship with it.
The first class I will be offering is Massage for Loved Ones. This course is for anyone wanting to learn better methods of massage, to move beyond the “back rub” and more effectively care for their friends and family. Note: this course is not intended or sufficient to replace professional massage. Upcoming dates:
Saturday, February 17, 6:00-9:00 (V-day edition)
Saturday, February 24, 6:00-9:00
Saturday, March 24, 6:00-9:00
In this course you will learn methods for clothed massage, as this will be the most accessible route for all friends and family, and most comfortable for a class environment. You will leave with take home resources and a small bottle of high quality massage oil.
The cost for this class is $100 per pair registered. Though registration is setup for pairs, feel free to reach out as an individual and I will make every attempt to pair you with another individual registrant.
Email email@example.com and specify your preferred date to reserve your place today. I expect spaces will fill quickly so hurry! I can’t wait to see you there.
For the first time since opening in 2015, prices are going up. Each service will increase by $5. So, 60 minutes for $70, 90 minutes for $100, and 120 minutes for $130.
This will be effective November 1, excluding any appointments already booked.
But wait, there’s more! If you have financial difficulty in paying for massage, Pay What You Can pricing is now available. With demonstrated financial need, you can get a 60 minute massage at a lower rate within a sliding scale. Talk to me about this (I used to be a financial counselor, and understand it can be difficult to justify massage with so many pressing obligations, so I am happy to discuss and help). – Heather
Our hours continue to expand! Starting in November, studio hours are by appointment Tuesdays 10-6, Wednesdays 2-7, Fridays 1-7, Saturdays and Sundays 10-6. I am hoping with these hours I can accommodate most schedules. Call, email or text to schedule – Heather
We now offer lomilomi massage! And if you book this service before December 31, the cost of a 60 minute service is only $45. If you or someone you love would appreciate the soothing flow of Hawai’i’s indigenous form of massage, call to book your session with Heather. Aloha nui loa.
Thanks for stopping by! While our website is getting a facelift, check out basic information about us and our services. We can’t wait to show you what we’ve been working on!
